In the dying years of the 29th century, the United Empire of Earth stretched itself too thin. The frontier systems—once rich with promise—fell silent under piracy, famine, and bureaucratic neglect. Entire colonies vanished from the comm network, written off as statistical loss.

Among the forgotten was a convoy known only by its transponder tag: Black Exodus.

It began as a desperate evacuation—miners, freighters, and mercenaries fleeing a collapsing outpost on the edge of Vanduul space. Their ships were battered, their fuel nearly gone, their only hope to push deeper into the uncharted void. Against every odd, they survived—scavenging, repairing, and uniting under a single code:

“We leave no Citizen behind.”

Days turned to months, months to years. What started as a refugee fleet became a fellowship of survivors—engineers, traders, and soldiers who refused to bow to empire or entropy. They built new habitats from wreckage, carved trade routes through storms, and turned scarcity into strength.

They called themselves the Fleet Eternal, but across the ‘verse, one name endured: Black Exodus—a reminder of the darkness they left behind and the light they now pursued.

These words became their charter. No fees, no mandatory duty—only the bond of shared survival. Each member contributes how they can: mining the ore, hauling the cargo, defending the convoy, or crafting the structures that make every return feel like home.
