Contract Milkers

Together we are in our second year contract milking, and are proud of what we have been able to achieve.
We are continuously striving to better ourselves and optimise the farm operation to reach targets and
goals to a high standard.

Nick

Farm Operator

I have been farming for 15 years. Farming is my passion and it gives me joy to know that i am part of something bigger in our country to contribute to the dairy industry for us now, and for future generations to come.
I have been a finalist in the New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards two years running in 2020 and 2021 in the Managers category. Going through this journey helped me in my career to dig deeper into the how and why we farm, the way we farm, and how we can be more efficient and environmentally sustainable moving forward.
I have studied through Primary ITO and am hoping to enter back into the Dairy Industry awards in the next few years in the Share Farmer category as a Contract Milker. We will have the opportunity to benchmark and forecast for our business this will give a fresh insight into our business and how we can optimise the farm.

Zoey

Farm Operator and Administration

I have been around farming for the past five years . My main role in our business is administrative tasks, tax and GST, along with budgeting and forecasting to ensure our business is transparent and sustainable year round. I completed a Diploma in Business and Administration in 2018 and have done other business courses over time to keep updated with current policies in our workplace.
I am the fundraising officer on the committee at Matapu preschool and am passionate about being involved in our childrens learning and education journey.

Our kids

We have four beautiful boys, Carter 6, Lincoln 6, Jaxon 4 and Axel 1. Carter lives in Stratford and we have him regularly. Lincoln goes to Matapu School and Jaxon goes to Matapu Preschool. They both play Rippa Rugby for Kaponga Rugby and Sports club. Nick coached the under 6's team this year. They all love helping on the farm where they can and spending time with the calves is their favourite time of year.
