Currently the album "RISING", music by Alabama indigenous, multi-instrumentalist Dimitri Cornell 16Suns is available for sale. This album consists of 13 songs, 12 of which Dimitri composed, ranging from Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Jazz Fusion works. Dimitri is featured on guitar, and chromatic harmonica accompanied by his "In The Pocket" band, which consisting of bass, guitar and saxophone. 16Suns has assembled an international group of musicians from Trinidad, NYC, and Canada in Toronto to record the works on RISING. The song Love Divine features international acclaimed vocalist Micheal Dunston from Toronto, Canada, backed by a larger R&B ensemble. Enjoy the swing, groove and funk.
Dimitri served as a guitarist for Smokey Robinson on his 1980 Quiet Storm Tour, and as a violist and violinist in Orchestras in Canada and the USA. While living in Los Angles he had the opportunity to study chromatic harmonica with 1st call studio musician Mr. Tommy Morgan.
16Suns is a prolific composer having written for concert band, Jazz Big Band, string quartet, string orchestra, small orchestra, and choir, and also has written music for films. 16Suns has written two harmonica method books, Modern Chromatic Harmonica Method and Blues Harmonica, both of which will be available to purchase at CosmicSoundVibes.com in future.
