Welcome to Holding Hope Counseling Center!

At Holding Hope Counseling Center, we emphasize having a strong connection with our clients. The quality of the relationship between client and therapist is the most powerful predictor of a
positive outcome in treatment. A good relationship is essential to helping clients connect with, remain in, and get the most from therapy.

We use a trauma-informed person-centered approach and view clients as the experts of their own lives. Many clients come to therapy with a history of trauma that has taken away their sense of power and control. It is crucial for client’s to be in the driver’s seat when it comes to treatment planning and setting goals.

We believe that all humans are born with an innate capacity to fulfill their potential and aim to provide clients with a safe space to work past the barriers they are facing. Problematic behaviors aren’t altered with confrontation, judgment, or punishment; they are remedied with compassion, understanding, and acceptance. When people feel safe, honesty follows. And being honest with ourselves and others is crucial for change.
