Joseph Hale was born and raised in the great city of Lexington, and is a proud resident of District 7. He’s extremely passionate about serving the state of Kentucky, and even more so, serving his community. Joseph has several years working in the fields of government, education, and in tandem within the field of information technology.
Joseph is a graduate of Sullivan University, and for seven years was a collegiate instructor at the College for Technical Education’s Business Administration Program. He is currently the IT Coordinator for the Kentucky Department for Public Health, and served on the Command Staff for the Kentucky Department for Public Health as the Director of Information Technology during the COVID-19 response. Joseph has worked very closely with the heads of State on the COVID-19 Response Team, establishing and setting up the COVID-19 Call Center/Hotline for use by the public, and clinicians for information and updates on COVID-19. Joseph works with the CDC, hospitals, clinicians, and local health departments across the State of Kentucky, hosting the monthly COVID-19 Clinicians webinar updating on the status of the COVID-19 and Monkey Pox viruses, vaccines, lab reporting, and the tracking of the different variants across the globe.
For five years, Joseph has been one of the Leadership Heads as Elder/Pastor and Board Member of The Gate Church in the city of Lexington. He’s a husband, a father, and community leader. He is one of the co-founders and board members of Open Gate Community Outreach, which is a startup 501c3 organization designed to serve the community by offering education, counseling, and connections to resources to help the community in times of need.
One of Joseph’s honored accomplishments is being the Founder of the “Boys to Men Mentoring Group.” The group meets every 1st Thursday of the month. Boys to Men teaches, and counsels boys from the ages of 12 and up on how to become respectable men in today’s society through sponsorship, practical advice, workshops, and educational field trips.
