Krewe of Sheba is proud to announce its 2024 Candace Papillion-Haynes scholarship program aimed at supporting the educational endeavors of deserving girls who plan to attend a Historically Black College or University this Fall, and are from our community. The program is designed to recognize and reward these students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, exemplary community involvement, and strong leadership qualities. Winners of this Scholarship will receive a $500.00 stipend from the Krewe of Sheba.

The application process for the Krewe of Sheba Scholarship is entirely online for the convenience of prospective applicants. The requirements for the application include:
- Must be a female high school senior at a South Louisiana High School--graduating Spring 2024.
- Must be accepted to, and plan to attend a Historically Black College this Fall.
- Acceptance Letter must be provided with application.
- Excellent writing skills: Applicants should be able to articulate their achievements, aspirations, and reasons for seeking the scholarship effectively.
- A high school resume: This should include details of the student's academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community service hours, and any other relevant experiences.
- PowerPoint presentations, digital and video resumes are accepted.
- Appropriate headshots: High-quality headshots for identification purposes.
- Good GPA: A strong academic record is essential for consideration.
