Dr. Kendal Smith

Dr. Smith created the MACC lab in 2022 in her first year at Jackson State University. Dr. Smith's ultimate goal with the MACC lab is to investigate empirical topics of importance to her, while also enhancing undergraduate and graduate student opportunities to engage and participate in research activities. Dr. Smith's research interests are varied, but primarily focus on comparative cognition, memory processes, learning & conditioning, and development of cognitive processes. When she is not at work, Dr. Smith enjoys being outdoors, whether that is scuba diving, hiking, or practicing yoga.
