Our CEO
Rheanna Johnson is a dedicated educator with over 12 years of experience working in special education in the Chicago Public School system. She holds a Master's degree in teaching and a certification in Learning Behavior Specialist. Passionate about helping children with disabilities, Rheanna, along with her husband Pastor Jamal Johnson, founded the Embracing Disabilities Foundation.

The foundation's mission is to provide additional therapies and resources to children with disabilities who are unable to receive them outside of school. Rheanna noticed that most of her students only receive 30 minutes per week of therapy, which is not enough for them to reach their full potential. Therefore, she wanted to create a safe space where children with disabilities can receive additional services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and vision therapy.

The foundation also offers sensory rooms and sensory gym, providing children with special needs a place to play, socialize, and celebrate birthdays. Rheanna believes that every child is uniquely made, and every child deserves a chance to thrive. She holds closely to her heart the Bible verse from Psalm 139:14, which says, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

Rheanna's dedication to children with disabilities and her desire to help them reach their full potential has led her to start the Embracing Disabilities Foundation. She hopes to make a positive impact in the lives of children with disabilities and their families, providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.
