Growing up I always knew I wanted to be the voice, the voice of inspiration for at risk youth that are experiencing or has experienced trauma, but are not fully capable of processing the emotions of their trauma. I've experienced trauma during my childhood, adolescent years as well as my adult years. I survived years of sexual assault, suicide attempts, drug abuse, domestic violence, anger issues, mental health crisis, teen pregnancy, a high school drop out, low self esteem issues, I developed severe anxiety, depression, and more. In spite of it all, I was not going to allow the hurt and pain to outweigh my purpose. At 31 years old I was exhausted, but I also knew giving up was not an option. I made the decision to further my education because my children deserved better, I deserved better and so do you! I owed it to myself to become the best version of me. I completed the GED program at 32. I Enrolled into Wake Technical Community College where I completed my Associates degree in applied Science at the age of 35. From there I transferred to Shaw University, an accredited HBCU, where I am currently enrolled, completing my Bachelor's degree in social work, I sought therapy to deal with my past traumas in order to learn to love and accept me for me. God kept me despite of, I knew he had a plan, what I didn't know is that the pain that I endured was apart of the plan; the building blocks to the foundation of Mission Complete Incorporated. That pain provided me with the experience to relate, reach, and rebuild our youth. I am able to speak to it because I have been through it. I often wondered, why me? Only to determine the pain was necessary to create the blue print for my purpose.
