Frequently Asked Questions

How much are adoptions?

Adoption fees are set by the rescue organizations we work with and vary based upon breed and age. In general, kittens under 6 months old are $150; Young Adults up to age 2 are $125; Cats over 2 years are $100. Special breed cats may incur an additional cost. Please note that adoption fees are subject to change at any time - Inquire at the cattery to learn more. There is also an application fee of $25 - Only one fee applies per day, even if adopting multiple cats.

What is covered by the fees?

We know what a long-term commitment it is welcome a new member of the family, and we want ensure new owners recognize this commitment, too. We do our best to ensure your pet's personality and lifelong requirements are suited for your unique needs and lifestyle. To make sure you're off on the right foot, all of our cats are vetted before they even get to the cattery. That means they are spayed/neutered, test for feline leukemia and feline aids, are dewormed, are current on all age-appropriate vaccinations including distemper, rhinotraccheitis, calivirus, and rabies, are on a monthly flea prevention, and are already microchipped.

As you can imagine, these vet costs are NOT cheap! Each cat's initial vet care exceeds $200, and that doesn't account for any additional surgeries or medical treatments that may have been needed. The rescue agency sets their adoption fees to offset the many costs incurred in making sure your new kitty is healthy and set up to live their best life. The application fee goes back to helping kitties who are still at the cattery to thrive before they find their fur-ever home.

What is the adoption process?

We LOVE when pet owners decide that they've found the newest member of their family! To expedite the adoption process, there are a few things to keep in mind before you come to pick out a kitty. First, we require that you visit the cafe to spend at least one session with your kitty in person. This way you can get to know their temperament and know he or she is "the one." Secondly, make sure you are ready for the application requirements:

- A valid ID that shows you are over 18 years old.

- If you rent your home: Bring a copy of your current lease agreement that shows pets are allowed, or you can provide your landlord's name/phone number.

- If you have other pets at home, bring their current vaccination records, or provide the veterinarian office name/phone number. All dogs in the home must be up to date on Rabies. Other cats in the home must be current on their Rabies/FVRPC vaccine with Proof of negative Felv/FIV combo after 6 months old.

- (2) Personal References with their name/phone number. (Please give them a heads up first that they will be contacted!)

Once the application is approved, you will need a cat carrier to transport your furry feline to their wonderful new home. You can bring your own or purchase one of ours, but cats are not permitted to leave without a proper cat carrier.
