It is my belief that Knowledge + Connection = Power.

In this group setting where caring connections are made, true and life changing principles will be taught and absorbed.

In this class, your daughter will learn:

Awareness and rejection of unhealthy and unrealistic cultural expectations about female beauty and how to see her body for all the good it can do, rather than for how it looks, leading to greater self-confidence and meaningful living.

How to boost both mood and physical health with gentle nutrition, intuitive eating, and joyful daily movement.

How to manage difficult emotions like anxiety and depression through mindfulness, meditation, connection, and emotional expression.

Curriculum will be based on the following texts:

More than a Body, by Lindsay Kite, PhD and Lexi Kite, PhD

Intuitive Eating, 4th Edition
by RDN Evelyn Tribole, MS, RDN Elyse Resch, MS

Various Sources on the topic of Self-Compassion and Mindfulness

Disclaimer: This class is not group therapy. It is education-based and preventative in nature and is not meant to diagnose or treat psychiatric disorders. If serious physical or emotional issues are evident, a referral to appropriate services will be provided.
