1. Do not ever touch a bat with bare skin (high-risk rabies vector species!!). If the bat does not appear injured, it might have stopped to rest. Place the bat high on a vertical surface (tree or brick wall). Give it 24 hours.

2. After 24 hours, carefully contain the bat. Be delicate, and DO NOT TOUCH. Dust pans work well.

3. Contain the bat in a small box lined with an old T-shirt. You may offer a jelly jar lid of clean water.
