Code of Ethics

Integrity: Always maintain clear and honest communication with clients before, during, and after training sessions

Confidentiality: Always ensure that the personal information of clients is kept confidential and private

Education: I am responsible for keeping my certification and knowledge up to date with the evolving fitness industry

Professionalism: Demonstrate and maintain a welcoming, positive, and comfortable environment

Inclusiveness: Exercise is for everyone. Discrimination, racism, or hate of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in immediate repercussions

Values/Philosophy

Compassion: Life can challenge us in unexpected ways; it’s important to take the time to slow down, make room to be kind to ourselves (and others), and do our best to understand different perspectives to address any obstacles life throws our way

Privacy: The information shared with personal trainers can be sensitive. I value privacy and will never share client information unless there is a risk of harmful behaviors'

Discipline: Motivation is the hardest part of beginning an exercise program because motivation is inconsistent. Discipline is a useful trait that overrides motivation and is essential when creating a habit

Honesty: It’s not always easy to be vulnerable with people, I know this from experience. That’s why I do my best to create a comfortable space for both the client and trainer to be honest about goal setting, current health status, and client concerns. This is a collaborative journey so both parties need to be open about the obstacles so the appropriate solution can be brought to light

Enjoyment: Nobody enjoys doing things they don’t like. Our goal is to find or create exercises our clients enjoy so they stick with the program. We will teach you how to create fun routines that encourage you to make training a habit
